My studio is now open to you!

I can’t quite believe it’s taking me so long to write a new blog post. But that doesn’t mean I have been idle in the past few months: Quite the opposite, I have been pouring my creativity mainly into my Instagram account. (I know, given the fluidity of Social Media, maybe not the smartest idea …) A whole series of self-portraits and poems was born from that which will soon be published in a book. But I’m getting ahead of myself …

While being busy with creating, I realised that my website no longer is representative of what I focus on in my work. Which is:

Empowering womxn
through honest,
colourful and emotional portraits

So there’s a new website in the making, but all (!) of that later 🙂 Probably in 2022. But now finally heading over to what is REALLY news-worthy!

The big news …

For NOW! the big news is much more real and visceral: I have my own studio.

I can’t believe I just wrote that.

I have my very own photo studio now!!!

Bear in mind this is the first time I am ever renting a creative/work space and it was a big, big leap for me. A big freaking YES to taking myself serious as an artist.

Earlier this year I was looking to rent a space just on occasions but when I found this place I knew it had my name written all over it. I knew it wanted me to say yes, so I can say yes to all the wonderful people who have been wanting to work with me for so long.

So for two weeks now I have been working and creating at my new studio / atelier in Voorburg, mainly busying myself with my self-portraits and book project. But now it’s time to welcome YOU in as well 🙂

I want my studio to be open to everyone who wants to meet and see themselves as they are.
I want to create natural, emotional and unapologetic portraits of womxn that speak of their whole story.
Not just the happy, easy parts, but also the vulnerable and difficult ones.
