When you are waiting for your baby to come into the world, the days seem to take for-e-ver. But once the new family member is here, the hands of the clock turn ever so faster 🙂 And without knowing it, your little darling will stay awake all day, not really caring for a regular day time napping schedule: The world is too exciting and needs to be explored!

Usually parents want to capture the fragility of their newborn within the first days or two weeks after birth. But sometimes, mums and babies need more time to rest after the overwhelming experience of birth.

And yes, we love capturing the cuteness of a 50 cm small human being with its tiny fingernails and the softness of their freshly peeled skin. But we do know when it’s better to just LIVE the moment and allow the new family to bond without having a photographer hovering all over the place.

I was hoping to greet this little girl as soon as she said hello to the world, but my joy and amazement at those beautiful eyes and her mischievious smile were none the less when we finally met after three months.

Of course, photographing a three month old baby is completely different than taking pictures of an ever sleeping newborn 🙂 Not only will you get totally different kind of photos, but you will also be able to engage them more. And they’ll keep you busy with their unpredictable schedule of feeding, napping and wanting to cuddle in daddy’s arm.

Yet, all the waiting for the picture moments are so rewarding when you get a glimpse of the personality and charisma of this small but oh so present person. Thank you, dear! And keep exploring on your own terms 🙂
